DUBUQUE, Iowa — In his second season at the helm of the Dubuque Fighting Saints, Oliver David will make his second trip to the USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game. David will be behind the bench for the Eastern Conference as an assistant coach, just like he was last season. David has led the Fighting Saints to an 11-9-3-3 record in the team’s first 26 games.
“I feel fortunate to work in the USHL,” said David. “I see this as a chance to show gratitude-a chance to give back. Furthermore, the opportunity to interact with the players and coaches in a loose, fun setting like this is always a blast.”
David will be joined at the Top Prospects Game by four Fighting Saints players. Ty and Dylan Jackson, Michael Feenstra and Matias Maccelli were all chosen to represent the Fighting Saints in the game.
With suspensions and injuries in the last few weeks, David and company have been tested but have simultaneously risen to the occasion. Dubuque went in to the holiday break with points In seven of their last eight games and a 4-1-3 record with the only regulation loss coming at the hands of the Muskegon Lumberjacks.
The USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game will be played at the Ice Box this season, in Lincoln, Nebraska. The two day event will begin on January 7th, with the game occurring the following night at 7 pm CT.
