DUBUQUE, Iowa — The Dubuque Fighting Saints have acquired the Des Moines Buccaneers’ 2019 Phase II 5th Round selection in exchange for goaltender James Durham, according to general manager Kalle Larsson.
Durham appeared in 12 games for the Fighting Saints during the 2017–2018 season, notching a record of 3-3-2, posting a 3.65 GAA and an .893 save percentage. After being acquired by the Shreveport Mudbugs on January 16, four days later, he posted his first USHL shutout in his first start in Cedar Rapids on January 20.
“James came to Dubuque with a hard-working attitude and played well for us last season,” Larsson said. “We wish him well in Des Moines.”
Durham entered the USHL as the top goaltender in the NAHL with a 1.57 GAA and a .942 save percentage for the first-place, and eventual Robertson Cup champion, Mudbugs. Durham was originally acquired by the Saints in exchange for goaltender Jaxon Castor.
