Saint4Life Alumni Report - 11/30/17

-Distinguished Fighting Saints alumni Johnny Gaudreau continued his blistering start to the season after putting up five more points this past week to raise his total to 34 points on the season. Gaudreau's 34 points put him in a tie with Nikita Kucherov for second in the league behind Steven Stamkos. Among all skaters for the month of November, Gaudreau is tied for first with 19 points.

-Jim Montgomery's University of Denver Pioneers stayed in first place in the USCHO Division I Men's Hockey Poll this week after a weekend off. They received 39 of the 50 first place votes.

-Jason Lammers' Niagara Purple Eagles continued their climb in the USCHO Division I Men's Hockey Poll, receiving 19 points this week, and sitting only three spots out of being a nationally-ranked team.

-Patrick Kudla put up four assists over the weekend to assist the University of Guelph Gryphons to two weekend wins. The Gryphons are on an eight-game winning streak, and Kudla has scored one goal and five assists in that period.

-The dynamic duo of Zach Solow and Colin Theisen are among the scoring leaders for freshman in the NCAA. Solow is tied for fourth among freshman with 13 points at Northeastern, and Theisen is tied for sixth among freshman with 11 points for Notre Dame.

-Western Michigan's Austin Rueschhoff put up a goal and an assist this weekend against Colgate to continue his solid freshman season. Rueschhoff has put up seven points in 14 games this season.

-Mike Szmatula recorded his first multi-goal game for the University of Minnesota after scoring twice against Notre Dame.
