By Ryan Kotajarvi, 11/03/17, 11:30AM CDT

On the winning track, Saints host Omaha

1. The goal scoring has commenced for the Dubuque Fighting Saints. In a weekend sweep of the Central Illinois Flying Aces last weekend, the Saints scored 11 goals en route to almost tripling their season total to 17 goals. Quinn Preston and Alex Steeves led the way for the Saints, scoring five points apiece over the weekend sweep.

2. The matchup between the Saints and Lancers pit the two best teams in the USHL in terms of shot suppression against one another. Omaha allows 24.3 shots on goal per game, the best mark in the league, followed by the Fighting Saints, who allow 25 shots on goal per game.

3. Both the Fighting Saints and the Lancers have not lost a game with a lead going into the third period. The Saints are 2-0-0 when leading after two, and the Lancers are 3-0-0 in that same situation.

4. Alex Steeves and Mick Köhler are the players to watch out for in tonight's game, as both are coming off of hat tricks that led their respective teams to victory. Steeves leads the Saints with 8 points on the year, and Köhler leads the Lancers with 7.

5. This is the first time that the Saints and Lancers will meet this season. Under new head coach Oliver David, the Saints have gone 3-3-1 for seven points. The Lancers have lost three of the last four games under new head coach David Wilkie, who have six standings points to this point.
