Dubuque adds new Athletic Trainer and Equipment Manager

DUBUQUE, IA--Head Coach and General Manager Jason Lammers has finalized his Hockey Operations staff for the 2015-2016 season. The Fighting Saints announced the hires of Ryan Ledwon as the club's new Athletic Trainer, and Ross Hoerman as the team's Equipment Manager.

Dubuque had a need for a new Athletic Trainer after Sean Murdoch, who spent two seasons with Dubuque, accepted a position with the New York Rangers of the NHL this summer. Ledwon, 24, obtained his Masters Degree from Western Michigan University, and has spent time in Iowa with the Iowa Cubs baseball team. His experience also includes time with the Bloomington Blaze hockey team who played in the Central Hockey League before folding. Ledwon hails from the Chicago area.

Lammers also had the task of adding an Equipment Manager after Trevor Heinzerling joined the Seattle Thunderbirds of the Western Hockey League following one season with Dubuque. Lammers found his man in Hoerman of Antigo, WI. He spent the 2014-2015 season with the Princeton University women's hockey team and also has spent time in the American Hockey League, ECHL and Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Hoerman attended college at Lawrence University with Dubuque's Director of Player Personnel Kalle Larsson.

Hoerman graduated from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wis., along with new director of player personnel Kalle Larsson.

The Fighting Saints first game of the 2015-2016 season begins with preseason action as the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders visit the Mystique Community Ice Center on September 4. Tickets start at just $10 and are on sale now. Call 563.583.6880 or visit DubuqueFightingSaints.com
