DUBUQUE, IA–The can’t-miss event of the year will be televised across the Tri-State region. The Dubuque Fighting Saints have partnered with KCRG 9.2 to televise three games this season, including the 2015 USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game that will be held in Dubuque on Tuesday, January 13. The Fighting Saints are hosting this marquee event that will bring 40 of the USHL’s top NHL Draft-eligible players to Dubuque for a showcase event that all 30 NHL teams are expected to attend.
“We’re thrilled to partner with KCRG to televise this premier event,” said Dan Lehv, Fighting Saints President. “We’ve enjoyed our partnership with KCRG since its inception in 2010. Their production capabilities will ensure that the game broadcast and highlights will showcase the talents of the future NHL’ers on the ice and bring the excitement of the Top Prospects Game to homes throughout eastern Iowa.”
Coverage for the 2015 USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game begins at 7 p.m. that evening. The game will also be streamed online at FASTHockey.com.
KCRG 9.2 will also televise two key Prairie Farms Cowbell Cup rivalry games in the coming months. This rivalry series is a battle between the Fighting Saints, the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders, and the Waterloo Blackhawks for the best head-to-head record against their Eastern Iowa foes. Dubuque’s February 28 home game versus the Waterloo Black Hawks will air on KCRG 9.2, and the club’s March 28 home game versus Cedar Rapids will as well.
“KCRG is all about providing relevant local coverage, and the 9.2 initiative is an amazing extension of that mission,” said Shannon Booth, Director of Brand Marketing with KCRG. “We are thrilled to be broadcasting live Dubuque Fighting Saints hockey again this season.”
This is the fifth year that the Fighting Saints and KCRG 9.2 have partnered to air Dubuque Fighting Saints games across the Tri-State region. The partnership began in the 2011 Clark Cup Playoffs and the station has televised more than 20 regular season and playoff game games.
The games televised on KCRG 9.2 will be available in the Dubuque area via Mediacom Cable on channels 109 and 115-6.
