Multi-Year Agreement to Bring HORMEL® COMPLEATS® Game Challenge to Fans

The Dubuque Fighting Saints are excited to announce a new partnership with Progressive Processing. This partnership includes a season-long charitable promotion that centers on the HORMEL® COMPLEATS® Game Challenge.

The HORMEL® COMPLEATS® Game Challenge is a game-long promotion for every home game at Mystique Community Ice Center. Should the Fighting Saints register a “complete game” – defined as winning the game, outshooting their opponent, and having the higher penalty kill and power play percentage – a charitable food donation will be made to a local food shelter by Progressive Processing.

Robert Miller, President of Business Operations, is thrilled with how this partnership came to fruition for the 2022-23 season.

“To have Progressive Processing join the Fighting Saints Family is a huge deal for our organization,” Miller said. “Joe Muzik and his incredible team are a staple in the Dubuque community and their partnership only strengthens the validity of our team on and off the ice. We are excited about welcoming them to the Fighting Saints family and look forward to seeing it grow for several years to come."

“Our inspired team at Progressive Processing is thrilled about our partnership with the Dubuque Fighting Saints. We take pride in the iconic Hormel Foods products we make, and also take pride in being an active member within Dubuque,” said Joe Muzik, plant manager at Progressive Processing. "The Fighting Saints are an exciting and beloved organization, and we look forward to partnering with to give back to our community. We value there to provide food and hunger relief for those in need in our area.”

Giving back to the Dubuque community is an important goal of the Fighting Saints, Progressive Processing and Hormel Foods.

Miller goes on to say, “Not only is having Progressive Processing as a partner a great deal for the Saints, but how it all got started is a whole other success story itself.  Mike Nelson, one of our Billet Families, introduced us to Joe and got the conversation started. This partnership may have never happened without the trust Mike showed in our organization and we appreciate that. Our Billet Families are the lifeblood of this team and without them, the Fighting Saints would not be able to compete at such a high level.”

Progressive Processing is located at 1205 Chavenelle Court, in Dubuque, and is the local food production facility of Hormel Foods, a global branded food company with such well-known brands like SKIPPY®, SPAM®, PLANTERS® HORMEL® COMPLEATS® and many more.
