All Contests Between RoughRiders, Saints and Black Hawks To Count Towards Standings

DUBUQUE, Iowa — During the last nine seasons, the Dubuque Fighting Saints, Cedar Rapids RoughRiders and Waterloo Black Hawks have combined to win five United States Hockey League Anderson Cups, symbolizing excellence during the league’s regular season.

As a result, some of the best hockey in the USHL has been played in eastern Iowa each winter, and once again in 2019-20, the Dupaco Cowbell Cup will be in contention during the biggest games between these fierce rivals.  Dupaco has been the presenting sponsor of the Cowbell Cup since 2015-16.

“Supporting community events and bringing value to our members are both important Dupaco initiatives,” said Joe Hearn, President and CEO of Dupaco Community Credit Union.  “As the presenting sponsor of the Dupaco Cowbell Cup series, we’re supporting three of the communities in which we have a strong presence of Dupaco Credit Union members.  This partnership allows us to help provide excellent family-friendly events to our members and the community at large.”

This season, unlike previous seasons, all games played between the three teams will count towards the Cowbell Cup standings. Due to an even amount of games between Dubuque, Waterloo and Cedar Rapids, the Dupaco Cowbell Cup is bigger and better than ever this season. The Cowbell Cup will kick off on October 11th as Waterloo travels to Cedar Rapids. Dubuque will take on Cedar Rapids for their first Cowbell Cup game on November 2nd and follow that quickly with a matchup against Waterloo the following Friday, November 8th. The final Cowbell Cup game will be held during the final day of the regular season as Cedar Rapids visits Dubuque on April 18th. Listed below is the full Dupaco Cowbell Cup schedule.
