The most lovable mascot in the USHL, and quite possibly, the world, Bernie the St. Bernard, is about to return to the Tri-State Area in a big way. Bernie, along with all of his community appearances, will be sponsored by Simmons Pet Food, the leading North American private-label and contract manufacturer of wet pet food.
Bernie can usually be found right here at the Mystique Community Ice Center, bringing joy to the crowd on game nights. But he has been known to go “Over the Edge” at the Hotel Julien to raise money for United Way, take part in mascot races at Platteville Berry Fest, pump up kids throughout the Midwest as part of the Live Like a Saint character education assembly program, march in the yearly Halloween parade in Dubuque, deliver sweepstakes prizes, visit team sponsors, and so much more. The team is building a comprehensive community calendar for Bernie to take part in throughout the summer and beyond.
