Collegiate Saints pick up postseason accolades

  • Dylan Gambrell was named a finalist for the NCHC Three Stars Award, given to the player with the highest Three Stars of the Game point totals from the season. In his junior season, he finished third in NCHC regular season scoring with 30 points and also had the most assists in the conference with 21. Gambrell finished his season with 41 points overall and a plus/minus of 17. Gambrell was also named NCHC Second Team All-Conference.
  • Nominated for the NCHC Defensive Forward of the Year and the Sportsmanship Award is former Fighting Saints alternate captain and current University of Minnesota-Duluth captain Karson Kuhlman. Kuhlman finished his senior season with 11 goals and 5 assists for the #8/9 ranked Bulldogs.
  • Robby Jackson, the St. Cloud State forward and former Fighting Saint, was named NCHC Honorable Mention All-Conference after his junior year at St. Cloud where he notched 14 goals and 23 assists for the top ranked team in the country.
  • Jim Montgomery and company will represent Denver in the NCHC Frozen Faceoff this weekend at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota.
  • Jason Lammers' first season as head coach at Niagara University ended early in the Atlantic Hockey Conference Tournament with a first round 4-3 double OT loss to American International. The Purple Eagles finished the season with 11 wins on the season, 6 more than the year prior.
  • Calgary Flames forward Johnny Gaudreau played in his 300th career NHL game on March 7th against the Buffalo Sabres. Now at 302 games as of March 13, the Fighting Saints legend has posted 94 goals and 189 assists, good for 283 points.
