DUBUQUE, Iowa — Saturday night’s all right for learning, as character development is the theme of the night for the next home game. The Dubuque Fighting Saints host the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders on Saturday, February 4 for Character Development Night, along with Two By Two Education, sponsored by Magoo’s Pizza. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m.
The matchup, a Dupaco Cowbell Cup rivalry game, will feature the seven character words featured in the team’s Live Like A Saint initiative, which visits elementary schools throughout the area. The words that the Saints live by are respect, kindness, citizenship, empathy, responsibility, perseverance and cooperation.
Two By Two will also have jerseys up for auction behind section 110 that include Fighting Saints versions of Johnny Gaudreau, Zemgus Girgensons, Mike Matheson and Matt Benning, as well as their NHL jersey counterparts. Other items include a Zach Solow red jersey, a Fighting Saints gift basket, and an autographed stick. In total, there will be 20 sports memorabilia items up for auction!
The 50/50 pot will start at $2,000, so make sure to purchase your ticket at the game to grow the pot and potentially walk out of Our House with over $1,000! Proceeds from both the 50/50 raffle and the silent auction will benefit Two By Two Education.
