Proceeds from Military Appreciation Night benefitting Veteran’s Freedom Center

DUBUQUE, Iowa — The Dubuque Fighting Saints, represented by Katie Kenne, vice president of business operations, Jason Lammers, head coach and general manager, and players Dallas Gerads and Taylor Brierley, presented the Veteran’s Freedom Center with a check totaling $18,861.22 on Thursday. All proceeds were raised during Military Appreciation Night on November 11, which was sponsored by Kwik Stop, Dairy Queen and Fazoli’s.

The Fighting Saints held Military Appreciation Night for the seventh consecutive season, and raised the money through a jersey auction. The Dubuque County Commission of Veterans Affairs sponsored the special camouflage-themed jerseys.

“We are truly grateful to the people who serve our country, and we continually look forward to hosting Military Appreciation Night so that we can give back to all of these deserving people,” said Kenne. “The Veteran’s Freedom Center does an unbelievable service to this community, and we are more than happy to continue supporting them through this cause.”

Over the seven years of hosting Military Appreciation Night, the organization has raised over $75,000 to benefit the Veteran’s Freedom Center.
